Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Group-Based Positive Psychotherapy on Efficient & inefficient & Styles of referrals to other coping strategies in At Junior High School boy Students.
Method: The research design was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test & Trimester - follow - up with the control group. The statistical population of all 13- to 16-year-old male students was 240 students in one of the junior high schools of Fariman town in the academic year 1396-97 That The purposive sampling method, 34 students were selected. The experimental & control group included 17 participants. The intervention for the experimental group consisted of 10 sessions of 60 minutes of   Positive psychotherapy. The research instrument was a questionnaire of coping strategies and the program of positive psychology Rashid (2008). Data were analyzed using repeated measure ANOVA.
Findings: The results showed that positive group psychotherapy has been effective in increasing coping strategies (P<0/01), & reduce non-efficient coping strategies (P<0/01), & increasing the styles of referral to others (P<0/01), in the students, & this effect has continued in the follow-up phase.
