The Journal of Research in Clinical Psychology and Counseling is a member of the International Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and implements the executive regulations of the Law of Prevention and Combating Fraud in Scientific Works.

Journal's code of ethics: The Journal of Research in Clinical Psychology and Counseling has been designed based on the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and all participants are expected to adhere to the aforementioned ethical principles. Obviously, any plagiarism or other unethical behaviors will lead to the removal of the article from the arbitration process. Publication and authorship:
- The scientific-research articles received from the authors are evaluated confidentially and anonymously by the scientific evaluators of the publication selected by the editorial board and the editor.
- The criteria for evaluating the articles are originality, scientific quality, correctness of data and information contained in the articles, and compliance with the scientific and literary framework of the publication.
- All articles are accepted, revised, or rejected based on the decision of the referees/reviewers and the editorial board.

- Rejected articles are archived in the archive of the journal for a maximum of three months and will be then removed from the system.

Writers:
- The certificate of originality of the article is submitted by the authors when submitting the article electronically. It must also be confirmed that the submitted article has not been published in another journal or is not under review for publication.
- Comments, corrections, and points of view suggested by the committee of reviewers will be sent to the chief editor of the journal within 15 days from the notification date.
- Authors' acknowledgment and organizational affiliations should be mentioned in the article, and any conflict of interest between authors or organizations should be declared through the relevant form.
- The journal welcomes the reporting of errors and mistakes in published works that will definitely help improve the quality of the articles and the scientific status of the journal.
Referees:
- Secrecy and confidentiality of article information should be respected in all fields. The arbitration process of the articles is done anonymously, while maintaining the originality of the articles is prioritized.
- The peer review process should be done within the specified time frame for the referees, and the points of view related to the originality of the article should be sent to the editor, regardless of the suggestions regarding revision, rejection, or acceptance of the article.
- The referees' suggestions about the published articles should be provided in the referee forms and the comments section for the author and editor.
- Plagiarism, including the overlap of the article with other published articles, should be reported so that; the editorial board can make the final decision about rejecting or accepting the article.
- Referees should refuse to review the articles with a conflict of interest.
Editorial board:
- The chief editor and the editorial board of the journal have full authority to reject or accept each article, and they are responsible for the overall quality of the published articles.
- The chief editor can implement strategies to increase the quality of the journal's articles.
- The validity of the author's academic background should be evaluated before reviewing the article.
- The originality and quality of the article, the accuracy of the presented content and its relevance to the publication field should be the only characteristics for accepting or rejecting the articles.
- Final decisions should not be overturned without sufficient and strong reasoning.
- The anonymity of referees and authors should be maintained until the final decision has been made on the paper.
- Editors should find a solution for ethical issues and problems such as confrontation of authors regarding their published or unpublished articles.
- It is not possible to reject articles based on suspicion.
- Conflict of interest between editorial board members, authors, and referees should be resolved, according to the Committee on Publication Ethics guidelines (COPE).
Plagiarism statement:
- All rules defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) should be implemented by the editorial board members, referees, and authors.
- The article can be removed from the publication process only in the first stage (the chief editor's review process). When it is placed in the peer review process, the withdrawal from the publication process is subject to the payment of a fine to the editorial board.
