Examination of relationship between verbal and non-verbal memory, informationprocessing, response inhibition with facial expression recognition in patients with schizophrenia
The purpose of present correlational study was to investigatethe relationship between verbal and non-verbal memory, information processing, and response inhibition with facial expression recognition in patients with schizophrenia. The participants of the present studyselected through the available sampling method including60 patients with different type of schizophrenia, patientswith paranoid(n =30) and patientswith disorganized(n=30).The emotion facial expression recognition test, Wechsler memory test, Stroop test and information processing questionnaire were administered. To analyze the data,Pearson correlation coefficients and multivariate regression analysis with stepwise method were employed. Result of the study revealed that there is significant positive correlation between verbal memory and information processing with facial expression recognition (P
