The aim of present study is to determine the gap betweensignificance of goals, aspirations and possibilities to achieve them inStudents’ happiness. Methods: Theresearch method of the study was descriptivedesign. The sample comprised 210 students ofFerdowsi University of Mashhad. Students completed the Goals and Aspirations Questionnaire and Oxford Happiness Inventory. Reliability and structural validity of Oxford Happiness Inventory has already confirmed in Iran. Researchers measured the reliability and structural validity of Goals and Aspirations Inventory which was found satisfactory. To analysis the data descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, regression), inferential statistics (T-test, multivariate analysis of variance MANOVA), has been used. Results: Pearson correlation results revealed that except correlation between thespiritualityimportance gap and its achievement with happiness, the gap of importance of goals, aspirations and Possibilities to achieve them; other components have a significant negative correlation with happiness. Results of stepwise regression analysis indicated that 15% of variable variance of happiness through the gap between the goals and the chance to achieve them can be illustratedwhich is statistically significant. Multivariate test results indicated that there is a significant difference between the male and female students in terms of the gap between the importance of goals and aspirations and the chance to achieve them in sub-goals of pleasure and financial success.Nevertheless there is no significant difference in other sub-goals. T-test results showed that male and female students have no significant difference in their happiness.
