Abstract

The purpose of present research was to investigate the effectiveness of communication skills training for mother on reducing high- risk behaviors in their addict sons. The method used in this study is semi-experimental whit pre-test and post-test and control group. The statistical society consists of all the mothers with addictive sons whom their children were treating whit methadone in addiction renunciation clinic of Afarinesh. The sample consist of 40 people) 20 in experiment group and 20 in control group) that were selected through random sampling procedure. The experiment group had been participated in 8 sessions of relationship skills training while the control group had not received any interventions. Assessment instrument was »high risk questionnaire(HRQ) Zademohamadi and Ahmadabadi, 2009.
