Abstract

considering the association between (8–13 Hz) and theta (4–8 Hz) with a hypnagogic state, the aim of this study was to treat addiction and five personality traits.. Thirty-four male (age: 32.25 ± 4.12 years) diagnosed with Substance Use Disorder (opium addicted) were randomly assigned ? (N = 16) and control group (N = 18). we appliedPersonality Inventory – Revised (NEO-FFI-R) and Rap Dip™ InstaTest. The analysis of variances in repeated measures revealed that twenty sessions of neurofeedback improved neuroticism (N) and openness (O) subscales significantly, but no significant deference in agreeableness (A), consciousness (C) and extraversion (E) subscales was shown between control and experimental groups . In addition Urine reduction was significantly more in experimental group(56.2% vs. 22.2%). Our results shows that neurofeedback is can be effective in treatment of addiction and improvement of personality trait in morphine dependant adductors.
