The Effectiveness of Reality Therapy Group on Identity Styles of highschool Students of Mashhad

Abstract

In this research effectiveness of Reality Therapy group on identity styles (information, normative, diffusion & commitment) has been evaluated. 14 adolescent students from Mashhad city along with their mothers were randomly assigned to experimental & control groups. Before & after intervention, each groupwere tested by Berzonsky Identity Styles Inventory. multivariate covariance analysisshowed that reality therapy has significant effect on improving information (P=0.03) and commitment (p=0.009) identity styles but has not significant effect on confusion (p=0.15) and normative(p=0.25) identity styles. this results meansshows realitygrouptherapy can be used for students with identity problems.
