Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between marital burnout and pursuing-distancing among married female students. The present study is correlational research and its population is female married students of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. In this research126 students were selected through available sampling. They filled out questionnaires of Pines' marital burnout and pursuing-distancing. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation matrix at descriptive level and simple regression test at inferential level. The findings showed significant negative correlation(r=-0.25, p=0.004) between marital burnout and pursuing and significant positive correlation between marital burnout and distancing (r=0.195, p=0.029).Therefore, we could conclude that marital burnout could be explained by pursuing and distancing tendencies.
