The Evaluating of Unsafe Attachment Dimensions and Sexual Satisfaction Mediating Sexual Self-efficacy Functioning in Female

Abstract

Purpose: This study to aim conducted the evaluating of unsafe attachment dimensions and sexual satisfaction mediating sexual self-efficacy functioning in the married female in Shiraz city.
Method: The current research was a correlation of type concurrent hierarchical regression. one hundred six the married female were selected using the voluntary method from among women referring to privative counseling centers of Shiraz city and all ethical standards of research, and completed Unsafe Attachment Dimensions, Sexual Satisfaction, and Sexual Self-efficacy Functioning Scales. The analysis of data was conducted using Pearson correlation coefficient and concurrent hierarchical regression statistical methods and SPSS-21 software.
Findings: Results showed that there are significant negative correlations between anxiety and avoidant attachment dimensions with sexual satisfaction and sexual self-efficacy functioning variables and there is a significant positive correlation between sexual satisfaction and sexual self-efficacy functioning variables (p < 0.05). Also, hierarchical regression analysis by Baron and Kenny method showed that sexual self-efficacy functioning variable is a mediator between anxiety and avoidant attachment dimensions and sexual satisfaction.
In results, can be suggested that self-efficacy functioning has an important role in increasing of sexual satisfaction married female.
